Create Individual Log-Ins for Group Members

To enable individual log-ins for your members that will allow everyone in your group to use My Manual personalization features and The Chicago Manual of Style Online Forum, follow the steps below. Enabling individual log-ins will not prevent the shared log-in from working.

1. Go to The Chicago Manual of Style Online home page.

2. Log in to Account Administration on the upper-right corner of the home page with your Account Administrator user name and password. (Please make sure to use “Account Administration” and not “Log In.”)

3. Click on the button on the left side of the page that says “Create or Update Group Member Information.” Add your members’ email addresses here. Be sure to click Submit after you have added your members’ information.

Each member address you enter will automatically be sent an email message with a link to a page where members can create their own user names and passwords to access The Chicago Manual of Style Online, including all the new features. When group members activate their unique log-ins, the status boxes next to their names will be checked as active.

If your user does not receive an actuation email, please have the user check his or her spam folder. You can also try deleting and reentering the user’s registration.
